I saw this meme at Musing of a Bookish Kitty. I like these shuffle-track memes:
If your life were a soundtrack, what would the music be?
Here’s how it works:
1. open your library (iTunes, winamp, media player, iPod)
2. put it on shuffle
3. press play
4. for every section, type the song that’s playing
5. next section — press the next button
6. don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool
Opening Credits: Credit Where Credits Due (Lost, Season 1 Soundtrack)
Waking Up: Lady Willpower (Gary Puckett and the Union Gap)
First Day At School: Anakin vs. Obi-Wan (Revenge of the Sith Soundtrack)
Falling In Love: No One Is Alone (Victor Garber, Unexpected Dreams) — The song itself is also from the musical, Into the Woods
Breaking Up: What About Love (Heart)
Prom: Don’t Leave Me This Way (Thelma Houston)
Life’s Okay: Departing Sun (Lost, Season 1 Soundtrack)
Mental Breakdown: You Belong to Me (Carly Simon) — Not taking the breakup well, are we?
Driving: It’s Not the C.I.A. (Alias, Season 1 Soundtrack) — CIA, Driver’s Ed – so easy to confuse.
Flashback: A Soldier’s Heart (Instrumental) (R. Kelly) — Dad’s retired Army, I work for the Army — so it works
Getting Back Together: A Call to Arms (Battlestar Galactica, Miniseries Soundtrack)
Wedding: Mess It All Up (Lost, Season 2 Soundtrack)
Birth Of Child: The Flag Still Flies High (Hero For Today) — more patriotic tunes
Final Battle: Whitefall/Book (Firefly, Soundtrack) — at least Book was a man of the cloth
Death Scene: Hunger (Black Hawk Down, Soundtrack) — very appropriate
End Credits: Prelude to War (Battlestar Galactica, Season 2 Soundtrack)
Incredible! No Harry Potter tracks on this one!

I’m so glad you played along! I didn’t know Victor Garber sang! My husband just pointed out that I should have known, considering how much I like musicals, but I hadn’t realized. I have quite a few soundtracks myself, although I haven’t downloaded all of them yet onto iTunes. It’s a slow process for me.
I read it in an magazine, I think it was the Official ALIAS magazine — back when it was still on the air (the show, not the mag). I wasn’t too surprised to see him on the album “Unexpected Dreams”, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the song, since I liked the “Into the Woods”, and I love that song.
