Why? Heaven only knows, since the processes are as different as night and day. I handle personnel actions for Soldiers -- specifically, assignments. I work for what is now known as the US Army Human Resources Command. Gordon may know it as MILPERCEN or PERSCOM. Or "DA" or "Branch". As in, "Call your Branch, and see if they'll delete your assignment." That's us.
