What: New Author Challenge
When: 1 January – 31 December 2009

Rules: To read as many new-to-you authors as you think you can in one year. Novels preferred, but anthologies are also acceptable. Go here to learn more and to sign up. There is a separate blog for reviews.

I think this challenge will be an  easy one  for me to complete.  About half the authors I read this year were new-to-me.  I went on buying sprees and bought the first book in several series that I haven’t touched yet, so I’m looking at the possibility of  reading 50 or more new authors in 2009.

However, that’s not going to be my goal for this challenge.  I also want to read other books written by this year’s — and last year’s — crop of new-to-me authors.

With that in mind, my goal will be at least 12 new authors.  Everything after that will be extra credit.
