In the piece of madness below, I managed to include the titles of nearly every book I finished in 2008. Anyone want to guess which five titles are NOT listed? Leave a comment. 🙂

If anyone has a clever way to include those titles in the narrative, drop me a line at christina AT babblingbookreviews DOT com. I almost hurt myself weaving Deanna Raybourn’s two books into the story, so I could use the help. 🙂  And you’ll get credit for the madness!!

2008: The Epic Romance Suspense Fantasy

Once there was a crusader’s lady who swore allegiance to a dark deceiver because she enjoyed the night life. They joined a wild hunt and played games of “tag, you’re it!” with nightkeepers in the rising wind.

But it was an ill wind, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. Concerned with the state of the onion, the fortune hunter followed the devil’s footprints to Guardian’s Keep. Unfortunately, it was under royal lockdown.

“To hell with love,” cried the inconvenient duchess to the hallowe’en husbands, “I want to be more than a wife for a week. By a sad twist of fate, my lady’s prisoner was sold for a Texas ransom to a possessed April lady with a pair of personal demons named Bitsy and Lulu.”

Haunted by this, the tycoon’s princess bride – a lady of rare quality – paid the mistletoe wager to the good liar.  She enjoyed her Christmas getaway, silent in the sanctuary. Not to be outdone, the spymaster’s lady had a snowbound holiday with a vampire, too, and was silent in the grave.

The moral of this story, my fair gentleman, is: “Magic burns black ice, but a kiss of fire leaves you with a bucket of ashes.”
