~~ & ~~
My Favorite Discovery: Patricia Briggs
Honorable Mention: L. J. McDonald
If it hadn’t been for a featured author challenge, I wouldn’t have picked up Ms. Briggs novel this year. I will be continuing her Mercy Thompson series. I have the second McDonald book and I’m really looking forward to reading it (interesting world-building), but with the changes that took place over at Dorchester, it will be awhile before I get to read anything else from the series. I prefer mass market paperbacks, followed by trade paperbacks, and (in some cases) hardbacks. E-books are now the last resort for feature length novels — and then, only if I can get it from the library.
