I finished five of the seven books I started in October. The good news is that my team won the bookshelf bingo game (yay!). However, in doing so, I had to put aside books I already started when the new (and last) shelf was announced. Another plus: I officially wrapped up several reading challenges and met my Good Reads reading goal of 60 books. Though I posted no reviews in October, I have two in draft form. I’m optimistic that both will be posted in November.
Looking ahead to 2012: I have to tweak my “Reading Has Its Rewards” personal challenge before I unveil it. I keep changing the points awarded for the criteria (number of pages, book in series, etc). I’m using this year’s details to determine benchmarks — I don’t want to make it so difficult that I can’t reach an award goal, but not so easy that I meet them all by June! I’m working on two other personal challenges. One, I’m calling “By the Dozen” — consisting of several categories requiring 12 different books per category. The other is actually a 2012-2013 challenge and it’s posted in one of the groups I belong to at Good Reads. I will also post it here.
