Throwback Thursday – 25 October 2012

Throwback Thursday is a weekly meme co-host by The Housework Can Wait and Never Too Found of Books. The goal of this meme is to feature older books (published 5 years ago or earlier). As the hostesses have stated:

It’s the nature of book blogging to focus mainly on new releases, but there are thousands of great books out there that haven’t seen the “New Releases” shelf in years. We hope to be able to bring attention to some older titles that may not be at the top of the current bestseller list, but still deserve a spot in your To-Be-Read pile.

Continuing the Halloween theme, the book I picked this week features a wizard named Harry.

Harry Dresden, that is.

This is the second book in the long-running series. I just started reading the series and only recently acquired the second book, so it hasn’t been in my reading pile for very long. It’s on my fall reading list and I hope to read it soon.

Fool Moon

Fool Moon (Jim Butcher)

Title: Fool Moon
Author: Jim Butcher
Series: Harry Dresden #2
Published: January 2001

From Goodreads: Business has been slow. Okay, business has been dead. And not even of the undead variety. You would think Chicago would have a little more action for the only professional wizard in the phone book. But lately, Harry Dresden hasn’t been able to dredge up any kind of work — —magical or mundane. But just when it looks like he can’t afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise. A brutally mutilated corpse. Strange-looking paw prints. A full moon. Take three guesses—and the first two don’t count.

    • Thanks, and thanks for stopping by. I’ve seen mostly positive things about the series, so I hope to continue.
