Inspired by the many weekly memes about books.

The third entry honoring the Presidential Inauguration/Washington, DC is the second book in an urban fantasy series I keep meaning to continue reading but, shamefully, keep putting off.

Kitty Norville is a DJ who also happens to be a werewolf — yes, a wolf named Kitty. She wasn’t born one, she was turned. Most people were completely oblivious to the supernaturals living among them. Thanks to Kitty’s radio show, the world learns the truth. And now she’s been summoned to Washington to testify before Congress. Political shenanigans ensue.

This book would work for several reading challenges, including one called Sequels, so I plan to read it soon.

From the back: Celebrity werewolf and late-night radio host Kitty Norville prefers to be heard and not seen. So when she’s invited to testify at a Senate hearing on behalf of supernaturals, and her face gets plastered on national TV, she inherits a new set of friends, and enemies, including the vampire mistress of the city; an über-hot Brazilian were-jaguar; and a Bible-thumping senator who wants to expose Kitty as a monster. Kitty quickly learns that in this city of dirty politicians and backstabbing pundits, everyone’s itching for a fight.
