Normally, I try to do a write-up after I read a book. I'm behind, due to a combination of things, and it's about to get a little worse because I plan participating in a Read-a-thon.

The closest thing to a plan would be the several reading challenges I've joined over the years. Since it's voluntary and meant to be a fun way to meet other readers and discover new books, I don't feel any pressure to stick to reading ONLY books that meet the criteria of the challenge.

I don't accept advance reading copies and I don't accept invitations from publishers/agents/authors to review the book. I'm at leisure to read what I want, and if I don't like the book, I don't have to finish it.

So, no, I don't really have a grand reading plan or strict read/review schedule.

Thanks for stopping by!

I’m trying to get some early buzz going for HOPE’S FOLLY, the next book set in the Gabriel’s Ghost/Dock Five universe, so I’ve done up PDF ARCs for special people, like you. ;-) These are electronic and have NOT been though copy edits though they have been through substantive edits (ie: all plots points are fixed but there might be a misplaced comma or ten…). The book’s not been through GALLEY edits yet which means if a blogger or reviewer can get me a short blurb, it could make it to the front pages of the actual book (that doesn’t mean the review has to be “out” at that time…it can be posted Dec or Jan—though earlier the better.)

I’ve been told Borders stores will be doing ENDCAPS for me on this book (FIRST TIME!!!!!) so I’d really like to get bloggers and internet reviewers on board as early as possible.

Do you have time to read/review an electronic PDF of FOLLY?

Here is a blurb to give you a feel of what HOPE'S FOLLY is about ;)

It's an impossible mission on a derelict ship called HOPE'S FOLLY. A man who feels he can't love. A woman who believes she's unlovable. And an enemy who will stop at nothing to crush them both.

Admiral Philip Guthrie is in an unprecedented position: on the wrong end of the law, leading a rag-tag band of rebels against the oppressive Imperial forces. Or would be, if he can reach his command ship—the intriguingly named Hope’s Folly—alive. Not much can rattle Philip’s legendary cool—but the woman who helps him foil an assassination attempt on Kirro Station will. She’s the daughter of his best friend and first commander—a man who died while under Philip’s command, and whose death is on Philip’s conscience.

Rya Bennton has been in love with Philip Guthrie since she was a girl. But can her childhood fantasies survive an encounter with the hardened man, and newly-minted rebel leader, who it seems has just become her new commanding officer? And will she still be willing follow him through the jaw of hell once she learns the truth about her father’s death?

Thanks for all your support of my books! ~Linnea

Please let us know if you'd be interested in reviewing Linnea's book and we'll send you a PDF ARC ;)
