As of the end of September, I have read 120 books.21 of them were short stories or novellas. And three were re-reads.

So far I have read 52, first in a series books.

I will probably read 10 to 15 more first in a series books by the end of the year, and at least two re-reads several short stories.

July Update 2014

Due to the stroke, typing has become an issue. It takes twice as long to type up anything. So these monthly updates won’t be as long-winded.

I’ve been reading more in a month than I did prior to the stroke. I’ve also got a Kindle, since reading paper books one handed became too much.

The only challenges I’m doing this year(so far) are my few personal ones ( which also includes the Daughters of England) and those at goodreads.

My favorite read for July was MAGIC BREAKS, no surprise there! looking forward to seeing where the authors takes the story next.

The biggest surprise read for July was THE CHOCOLATE THIEF. I wasn’t expecting to love it!

Breaking radio silence..

I didn’t abandon this blog. just before Thanksgiving, I had a stroke. I’ve spent the last five months recuperating in Virginia, because that’s where my parents live. I’m not 100% yet, but I’ve rehabilitated enough to go back to work. So, on Monday, I’m flying back to Kentucky.

Once I’ve gotten settled in, I’ll start working on the blog again.
