(RE-POSTED: Original post was eaten alive when I tanked my blog in October 2009. Comments, if any, haven’t been rescued. Yet.)

The rules are very simple: spotlight a book that begins with the featured letter. Include the book cover, title and author, a synopsis, and link(s) to retailer(s). If it’s a book you’ve already reviewed, link to the review. Return to Reading at the Beach and leave a link in the comments.
This week’s letter is: E
This week pick: Eye of the Storm by Dee Davis
From the back: Everyone has skeletons in the closet, but Simone Cooper Sheridan’s involve secret CIA operations in the steamy jungles of South America. Now, after years of disguising her true identity, she’s finally come face-to-face with her previous life. Reece Sheridan knows that a smart man doesn’t think with his heart. After all, he is the one who divorced Simone, when their marriage just couldn’t overcome her mysterious past. But he’s never gotten over her. Now Simone’s secrets have captured the two of them in a deadly game with a ticking clock. . . and nothing can tear him from her side.
Comment: I read this book in August, but I haven’t written my review yet. I enjoyed the book and I like the author’s voice. You don’t come across too many books where it’s the heroine with the secret black ops background. Simone is great because she so unassuming, you’d never guess that she was once an operative.
